My professional background includes original research, data analysis, course design, college-level instruction, and public communication. Below is a sample of the work I'm most proud of and a link to my full CV if you'd like the complete picture.
RESEARCH
My research centers on gender and armed conflict — specifically, how sexual and reproductive violence operates within rebel organizations, and how women's participation shapes the trajectory of civil wars. I collect and analyze original data, conduct fieldwork interviews, and publish findings aimed at informing both scholarly debate and real-world policy.
BOOK
Conceiving Rebellion is my book manuscript examining why rebel organizations perpetrate reproductive violence against their own members. I built an original dataset covering more than 400 armed movements active between 1946 and 2020, and I conducted firsthand interviews with former combatants in Uganda. The project combines large-scale statistical analysis with on-the-ground qualitative research, and it has direct implications for how post-conflict programs address gender-based violence.
PUBLICATIONS
My published work appears in the following peer-reviewed journals focused on international relations, conflict studies, and public opinion research.

TEACHING
I've designed and taught courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, on topics ranging from feminist international relations to conflict data analysis. My approach prioritizes accessibility, student engagement, and connecting abstract concepts to real-world events — skills that translate directly to training, facilitation, and public communication work.
